Our knowledge of the use of nickel in industry applications is supported by our powder metallurgy lab facility that conducts research, develops new products and provides customer support services. The largest powder metallurgical application for nickel is in combination with iron powder to produce pressed and sintered powder metal parts. T123 PM powder is the industry standard for this application and is added as the alloying element to improve the mechanical properties of steel parts. Other powder metal processes that use nickel powder include: Metal Injection Molding, Hard Metal Binders, Heavy Metal Binders, Diamond Binders and Roll Compaction Strip. Novamet Specialty Products Corporation has in addition to T123 PM powder, the following group of products designed specifically for powder metallurgy applications: T110 PM, T110 D, T270 PM and Novamet 4SP-10 nickel powders. |
